ADP review meeting of ICT department held

Annual Development Program (ADP) Implementation Review Meeting of information and Communication Technology Department for the fiscal year 2020-21 was held today, (May 3rd) at the online platform. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak joined the meeting online as president. The meeting was attended online by the heads of various agencies under the department including Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Bangladesh Computer Council, Department of Information and Communication Technology and various project managers. The implementation plans of the projects undertaken by the ICT department in the current financial year, achievement of month-based practical and financial targets, decisions taken and recruitment of manpower were discussed in detail in the meeting. Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Program, Learning and earning Development Project (2nd Amendment), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park Rajshahi (1st Amendment) Project, Kaliakair Hi-Tech-Park and other Hi-Tech Park Development (3rd Amendment) Project, IT Business Incubator Establishment Project at CUET, Supporting Infrastructure Project of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City-2, Capacity Building Project of BGD e-Govt Cert, Leveraging ICT for Employment and Growth of the IT-IT ES Industry Project, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab Project, National Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Development, Info Government Project, IT Engineers Suitable for Japanese IT Sector Skills Development Project, Mobile Game and Application Skills Development Project, Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center Establishment Project, Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Academy Establishment Project, Secure Email and Digital Literacy Center Establishment Project for Government of Bangladesh, Connected Bangladesh Title Project, The financial and practical progress of all other projects, including the establishment of a digital security agency and the necessary infrastructure development projects, were discussed in detail. The heads of the agencies and the project managers presented the implementation plans and the latest progress of their respective projects at the meeting. The meeting was informed that the financial progress of the projects of the ICT department till April 2021 is 66.62 percent. The State Minister directed the concerned persons including the project director to ensure 100% financial progress of the projects and complete the work on time while maintaining quality as per the work plan. The project managers promised to complete the work of the projects within the stipulated time. It may be mentioned that in the current financial year, taka 695.10 crores has been allocated in RADP for a total of 26 projects including technology under the ICT department.
